In beide vorige werken hing en stond het blikje er een beetje hulpeloos bij. Die dramatiek kon nog worden opgevoerd. Het blikje werd nu kruislings vastgesnoerd op het witte schilderslinnen zelf. Een thema met bijna religieuze connotaties.

In the two previous works the can hung and stood a trifle helplessly. That dramatic element could be enhanced. The can was now crosswise attached to the canvas itself. A theme with virtually religious connotations.

Auf den beiden vorigen Arbeiten hing oder stand der Dose etwas hilflos da. Die Dramatik konnte noch vergrößert werden. Die Dose wurde über Kreuz auf der weißen Leinwand angeschnürt. Ein Thema mit beinahe religiösen Konnotationen.
